Whirlpool Ice Maker
Whirlpool ice maker will not stop making ice causing a freezer full of ice. Model: GX2FHDXVY 08

The ice maker shut-off arm is the one that controls the switch inside the ice maker - this bale/arm goes loose at times (it brakes in extreme cases). Pull out the ice maker and inspect to see if it is still inserted well.
