Model Gi15ndxzso Undercounter Ice Maker. When The On Button Is Pressed It Flashe

The on button flashes when pressed and the fast ice light turns on and does not operate. Control clicks but nothing happens. What should I check?

Consider the following:

Verify the correct drain hose has been installed on the Ice Maker. A 10 ft. corrugated drain hose, must be used when installing the optional drain pump accessory kit. If the correct drain hose is not used it could cause the ice maker to not drain properly, which may cause the ice maker to turn off. (This accessory is available for purchase from Whirlpool.) If this is not the issue, use the flow chart at https://producthelp.whirlpool.com/Troubleshooting?startid=3150. Good luck!
