Error Code F58 On Right Side Of Cooktop Panels.

i WAS GETTING AN F42 CODE PERIODICALLY AND WHEN I CALLED WHIRLPOOL, THEY SAID MY SERIAL NUMBER DOES NOT MATCH ANYTHING (????). I MANUALLY RESET TO THE FACTORY SETTING FOR THIS MODEL AND I AM GETTING AN F58 ERROR CODE ON THE TWO RIGHT PANELS. I would call whirlpool, but without the correct serial # they cannot tell me anything.
