File Retrieval Problem

I could successfully back up various types of files in Western Digital WDBAAC5000ACH - My Passport . However, when it came to retrieving, I was unable to retrieve all of them. A popup message warned that some files do not have their metadata. How can I retrieve the remaining files? Thanks.
