Wd7500h1u-00 Problems
Starts then shuts down right away and just keeps this cycle going on and off on and off is there a fix I don't want to loose all my data

Firstly check the power supply is providing the correct voltage. Should be at least a 12V 2 Amp. Being an external drive the power supply can be prone to overheating and cycling. If an alternative power unit is available try that first. If that proves the fault then contact Western Digital support (www.wd.com) if the unit is still in warranty for a replacement. They are normally very good where this is concerned. You can obtain a setup/info manual from the Manual Owl via this link.

If it proves to be the hard drive, putting in the freezer for about an hour and trying again is one way of reviving a faulty drive. If you have no success and you do obtain warranty replacement you WILL lose your data.
