Belt Lubrication For Weslo Cadence G5.9 / Model #wltl29613.1

To whom it may concern,I obtained the Weslo Cadence G5.9 Model #WLTL29613.1 from my daughter. In extremely well condition, still like new and only used three times. I have started to use this and want to keep this is good condition.I have gone through the manual to which I see that the treadmill's walking belt is coated with a "high-performance" lubrication. Also says if you suspect that the walking belt needs more lubricant, see the front cover of this manual. Just see "Customer Care" information - hence this message. My question(s);Will I every need to use additional lubrication? What are the indicators that occur if additional lubrication is required? If so, whats the duration of use before I would need to lubricate the belt? What type of lubrication can be used?Thank you for your time,MPetry

Congratulations on your new treadmill! The Weslo Cadence G5.9 is a great entry-level treadmill for anyone looking to get started with home workouts.

Regarding your question, it is recommended that you lubricate the treadmill's walking belt periodically to ensure smooth operation and reduce wear and tear on the machine. The frequency of lubrication can vary depending on factors such as usage, climate, and the type of lubricant used.

The manual for your treadmill recommends that you check the lubrication of the walking belt every three months, or after 150 miles of use, whichever comes first. You can check the lubrication of the belt by lifting the edge of the belt and touching the surface of the deck underneath. If the deck feels dry or rough, it may be time to lubricate the belt.

The manual also recommends using only a silicone-based lubricant, as other types of lubricants can damage the walking belt and deck. You can find silicone-based lubricants for treadmills at most sporting goods stores or online retailers. Follow the instructions on the lubricant's packaging for application instructions, as these may vary depending on the brand.

In summary, to keep your treadmill in good condition, you should periodically check the lubrication of the walking belt every three months or after 150 miles of use, use only a silicone-based lubricant, and follow the instructions for application provided by the lubricant's manufacturer.
