Weed Eater Lt30v Operating Problem

My lt30v operates for a few minutes, then cuts out. I depress the trigger and it operates for a few seconds, then cuts out again, then stops working altogether. Let it sit a few minutes, then it repeats the same problem. Any ideas what is wrong?
