The Bear Has Stopped Dancing, How Can We Make It Dance?

We opened the present which was for my son's first birthday. The dancing bear worked briefly but then stopped (on first day of use). I have also noticed that the microphone does not work. The present was from Wilco, can it be replaced? I may not have access to the receipt. Or how do we get the bear to dance? which was something that delighted my son.
