Downloading Pics

I have the Kidizoom orange and yellow camera and a very up-to-date computer and when I plug in the usb to download pics it says the USB device has malfunctioned and cannot recognize it - what can I do to download the pics - i have tried on 3 different computers and all run xp - all very new computers also.
