Next, go to http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/142/tn_14266.html and scroll down until you see "Flash Player 10.3.183.11." It's second from the top of available downloads. Download that zip file, and choose the installer for your computer. Windows users should install flashplayer10_3r183_11_win.exe, and Mac users should install flashplayer10_3r183_11_mac.dmg. There are also installers for Linux and Solaris operating systems.
Once the earlier version of Flash is installed, link up your child's InnoTab to your computer. The Learning Lodge will work perfectly and you will be able to register for an account to manage downloads.

It took me a whole day to figure out what was going on and it wound up taking 5 minutes to fix. -_- I ran across your question yesterday, so I though I'd spread the good word!

Had the same problem with our Innotab - check to make sure the USB cable is properly inserted in the Innotab. It needs a bit more a shove than any other USB device I've used, and should 'click' (OK, not quite, but it definitely makes an audible sound) when it's in properly. It's a bit misleading because the Innotab can still say 'connected to computer' even when the USB isn't quite inserted properly, but the Learning Lodge software won't recognise the device.
