Volvo Alarm Activation - Indicators Not Flashing

When I activate/deactivate my car alarm, the indicators no longer flash to indicate activation/deactivation. The alram still activates/deactivates, the central locking still works, and also the indicators still work as normal.Am I correct in concluding that there is a fault in the Alarm unit ?
