Why Won't My Vizio Hold An Rgb Signal?

I'm trying to connect my dell inspiron m5030 laptop to my Vizio e320vl via rgb cable. everything was working fine for about a week, when all of a sudden, my tv stopped holding the rgb signal. It will initially recieve the signal, and then after a few seconds, it will start switching back and forth between having a signal, and not having a signal. It's very frustrating and I hope someone out there has an answer as to what I should do to fix this. Help me PLEASE!!!
