Oven Function Control Knob

The knob will turn the oven on to 350, but it will not turn to the left or the right. This heats the oven to 350 but doesn't allow for any changes. When I press oven function 'bake' comes up as usual, then pushing the temperature button it reads 350, pushing in the 'set' knob the oven begins to heat. After that I can't make any changes. This only allows using the oven for bake at 350. The knob seems to have a lot of play in it - loose. Can the knob be adjusted? Does it need to be replaced? What is the cost of a replacement knob?
