Switching To A New Phone From An Extravert

I got an LG Extravert with a contract from Verizon. The screen broke, and I purchased a no contract Verizon Samsung phone at Walmart. The Extravert has no sim card, so I am wondering how I transfer my verizon service/number to the new phone.
