Can You Change The Number Of Rings Before A Call Rolls To Voice Mail?

My other carrier allowed me to set the number of rings before a call would roll to voice mail. Can I set up my new Verizon phone (LG Cosmos vn250) to do the same? Is it even phone dependent, or is it something that gets set in your account info/config?
