Udwc25 Without The System?

I just spent $90 on my dad for fathers day and i feel screwed because well just because! i need to know if my father will be able to use his computer as the monitor as aka. uniden survillance system that is noted on box really small i feel so dumb this fathers day is going to be a failure.....
