Delete 'fl' From Uniden Dect 6.0 Phone?

I'm ready to pitch this stupid phone into the ocean. It has been nothing but trouble from day one. On handset, ALL messages have been deleted EXCEPT when you press the "envelope tab" - it states that I have 26 saved messages. How do delete them? I was on hold with uniden for over 20 minutes and now all I get is a busy signal. THEIR CUSTOMER IS HORRIBLE -
