Should I Return My Turtle Beach Earforce X42 Headset?
My EarForce X42 headset for Xbox 360 worked for 2 days straight after installing it, but on the third day they stopped working properly. The second day I replaced the batteries when the set started beeping every few seconds. The third day the headset stopped producing sound except for the power and effect tones. The LED flashes twice every second, and the light on the far right of the transmitter pulsed slowly, so I followed the pairing instructions. The headset still didn't work, and the light on the transmitter was now blinking. I shut everything off and tried pairing them again, and now the light on the transmitter is flashing rapidly, but the headset still doesn't work. The headset LED is still flashing twice each second. If a solution is known, it would be greatly appreciated.

The X42s have a confusing pairing process.
Make sure your headphones are off, as well as the transmitter.
Hold the Pair button on the side of the transmitter until the far right LED starts to flash rapidly. Now hold the power button on your X42s, you will hear the normal two power up beeps, keep holding down the power button until you hear two even more rapid beeps. The headphones and transmitter LEDS should now start to flash in sync. If you've made it this far REJOICE! You just fixed the $150 headphones that Turtlebeach sent out with crappy instructions for FREEEEEEE! Ahem... sorry.
On a side note: If anyone out there is having issues with annoying static with their Turtlebeach X42s, this "Pairing" process will also fix that.
PSS. The beeping noise you hear is just telling you that you need to change the batteries, and is an intended feature, not a OMG TAKE IT BACK ITS BROKEDED!

I've had the same problems, if your not patient like me i suggest you get some wired one and get a 2 year guarantee on them, there work as well but they brake faster. I know you must be frustrated about the beeping noises and annoyed. Turtle Beach has a lot of issues on the pairing situation. Switch them if you do not like to pair every few days.
