I inputted our daughter's social security number but is coming back as an error. It is the same number used last year but I did not file through the website.

We need a lot more information to answer your question. Is your daughter old enough to have filed her own return? Could someone else have claimed her as a dependent? SSNs are most always rejected because they've been used already.
