My Lg840g Tracfone Won't Send A Text Message.

I had this exact thing happen to me.  I never heard of such a thing, and still don't know the cause of it.  BUT, try simply turning off your phone and restarting it...believe it or not, such a simple solution worked for me.  I was able to text again after that.

you can also try removing sim card snd battery and then put them back in and restart the phone,  that woeked for me!!  same problem/message!

I called tracfone and they had me enter all these codes. Then had me send a text to myself - I was able to send and receive. Then I texted my daughter several times and it did not work. I got a call from tracfone asking if everything was working okay and I told her my daughter didn't get my texts. She said tracfone is set up to use a ten digit phone number for texting (don't put in the "1" first). I added the area code to my daughter's number and it worked!! The lady from tracfone said you need to use ten digits for sending texts.

I turned off the power and removed and replaced just the battery, not the SIM card too, and it works fine now. Hope this helps you too.
