P0500 Speed Sensor Problem

My car is reporting the P0500 speed sensor problem. The engine checklight and the P/S lights are on and its not going into overdrive. where is the speed sensor located? i cant locate it. My car is a 2001 Toyota Allex, automatic transmission.
