Salvage Or Repair?
Husband wrecked his 1997 Toyota Supra. He has driven it for 16+ years. Ins. Co. says it is a total loss. It looks pretty good to me. Should we settle for the total claim pymt. or keep the car and try to fix it or sell it for salvage on our own. It really is a great car! We have a week or so to decide. Any help would be very much appreciated. We live in Atlanta and his car was in "Fast and Furious" - I think they are filming in Atlanta.

The car if not wrecked but in just fair condition would go for $17000 range according to KBB. Only you can judge if the ins. offer is fair. You have to set aside the emotional attachment & special circumstances of it's history. Realistically look at the repair cost, if it can be repaired to decide which choice you make. Best of luck!
