Kick Panel Passenger Side Rav97 Missing After Seen By Mechanic

Ck engine light on Something about fuel injection two wks later still ck engine light on and I notice my passenger side kick panel gone The mechanic told me We did not do it No reason to go under there?? I do not believe them What is under passenger side kick panel below glove box? Took it back they replaced light and 3 days later ck engine light comes on again. Thanks
