Where Is The Oil Pump Located?

Disconnect the negative battery cable. On vehicles equipped with an air bag, wait at least 90 seconds before proceeding.
Remove the hood.
Raise and safely support the vehicle.
Drain the engine oil.
Remove the front exhaust pipe.
Remove the rear end stiffener plate.
Remove the oil dipstick and oil pan.
Remove the oil strainer and gasket.
Carefully suspend the engine with a sling device, or equivalent and remove the timing belt and pulleys.
If equipped, remove the crankshaft position sensor.
Remove the 12 mounting bolts, the oil pump, and the gasket.
