how do u reboot the laptop without a disk and how do u find the hdd

To reboot without a CD one needs to remove all power from the laptop completely and then restart. With a faulty hard drive it should bring up the bios screen to enable you to re-configure. If it fails to restart the hard drive is normally accessible via a panel on the underside.
