Question Regarding Toshiba Dvr620 Vhs To Dvd Dubbing.

I am copying over family videos from VHS to DVD and was wondering if I can dub one vhs tape (hit stop) and then place in another one and dub to the same DVD? Or would that just copy over it if I have not finalized the DVD? And...a silly question...can I tell how much space is left on a DVD by looking at the rings on the underside of the DVD?

You should be able to copy video from multiple VHS tapes onto one DVD, without fear of overwriting your previous material. I'm pretty sure you can continue to add new material until the dick is full, or until you finalize it. Suggest you experiment using a DVD+R, not a DVD+RW, just to be sure.

Looking at the burn rings on the bottom of a DVD or CD is a pretty imprecise way of determing how much space is left. Instead, suggest you put the disk into a computer and check the "drive properties" to see how much space is used, and how much is left.
