my toshiba goes off when connect the AC adapter

It is possible that you have a fault on your motherboard, and if so, it is a job for the experts. However, I looked on Toshiba support forums, and this might interest you

Depleted cmos batteries on Toshibas can , sometimes be recharged by overnight charging but if it is the cmos battery, then I would expect you to notice the time or date is incorrect when in windows.

Have you checked the power jack connection?-Tried another adaptor? These could also be a source of the problem.
