If your brand new mower won't stay running, here are some things to check:

- Make sure the oil has been added, in the correct type and amount (SAE 30, 20 ounces)

- Make sure the gas is good. If you think it's old or has a lot of sediment, flush it, clean the gas tank, fuel line, and carburetor, and then add new gas.

- Start the mower then pump the primer continuously. If the mower runs as long as you are pumping the primer, there is something blocking the fuel flow in the carb.
