Why Can I Not Access My Previously Recorded Shows?

My DVR is saying that it is 0% full yet I still have MANY shows I haven't yet watched nor deleted. When I select one of the titles from the list, I am told that that show is not available at this time and to try again later. If the titles are still showing up when I press the list button, how can the DVR be telling me it is also 0% full?
