No Channel Info Or Program Guide

I turned in the DVR box for a standard on-top cable box. The channel number comes up and the logo of the respected channel is displayed but show name and info isn't. Also, when I press the guide button nothing happens. Do I have a problem or is this the new format for the standard box?
