Additional Wall Prep Necessary If The Range Has A 9'backguard
I am getting ready to install a Thermador dual fuel PRD364GDHU range where there used to be an electric one. The gas line has been run. The range I am purchasing currently has island trim. I can get a 9" backguard for it instead. With the 9" backguard, does my wall need any other treatment such as tile or a stainless steel panel behind the range. If so, how far above and below the top of the range does it need to go?
