Help! Usb Don't Work

I have a TEAC CR-H238i. I'm trying to connect an USB flash to the device. The songs on the USB is mp3 files and wma files. The size om the usb flash is 2 GB , and i don't even have that much songs on it.  Now to the problem! When i connect to the device, it says "no data"  but it is!  I've tried to put all the songs in a map but that didn't work eather.  why is it like this and how can i fix it?!  Greatfull for answer!
