If the phone is saying "sim lock, call customer care", and it will not let you dial 611 from your handset you will need to call the toll free customer care number from another phone.

The number is 1-877-453-1304, and let customer care know you need an unlock code.

If it is giving you a different error message, or none at all, you would still call the same number from a different phone and request technical support.
