Is Replacing Timing Chain A Diy Job?
Tulsa Suzuki dealer gave estimate of $3300 to replace timing chain/tensioners in my '01 XL-7. Vehicle good in all other areas, just this one repair needed, but it's 1/2 the value of the car! Dealer says job is estimated at 23 hours. I have better than average mechanical skills. Is this a job that can be done at home? BTW, I've have engine rebuild experience from straight 4's, v-8's, on up to straight-6 diesel engines in bulldozers. Thoughts?
