Need New Number

I just added a 45dollar unlimited card to my verizon straightalk phone about 9pm central. I got home about ten pm and changed my phone number. I need to know my new number but it keeps saying I have no service. It acts like I never added these minutes and all support keeps asking me to put in my number. My old number it says is a non working number. Please help
