How Does Straight Talk Get Away With Ripping People Off?

I have purchased two straight talk phones and a $45.00 card.  I have been trying to get the phone to work, been on numerous extremely long calls and even to the corporate office.  I was lied to over and over, put through the same troubleshooting routine numerous times.  They finally admitted the problem was on their end and a system problem.  However, it has been weeks and I have no phone service amd I am stuck with a $45.00 card.  How do they get away with stealing, lying and cheating the general public?
