My Stihl Bge 71stop Working What Is The Problem.

Various things can cause the unit to stop. Check the fuel and that the mixture ratio is correct. Remove and clean the spark plug. If you have a new one try that even if the plug looks OK it can still fail to spark when under pressure in the engine. Check for a spark when you turn it over. If the unit has been running and is hot make sure that the choke is open. Problems which occur after a reasonable duration of use are the carburettors can give trouble and need cleaning. This is due to ethanol levels gumming up the works. A new gasket set and cleaning should fix it. Look for Utube videos on how to do it. I have placed a link if that helps to the user guide.
