How Do I Set Up The Remote To Control My Tv

How do I pair my Sony NSG MR5U?To enable or force pair mode: Hold Fn + the center button between the navigation arrows on the remote side. you will notice the green light flashing in a slightly different pattern than while pressing the buttons. The 1st try found the remote but failed when trying to pair.
