Can The Headphones Be Plugged Into The Tv Without Muting The Tv Audio?
Headphones plugged into the speaker jack but the TV is muted. Can both the headphones be connected and the TV audio work as well?

if you plug it in and immediately the speakers mute, then there is a physical switch in the headphone jack that opens the connections to the speakers. The only way to bypass this is to rewire the switch. Of course there may be other ways around this with the use of a stereo with headphone jacks, where you split the audio from the cable box (or what you are using) and patch the amp in just for the headphones or pseudo surround sound
