Tweaking For My Sony Bravia

Hello i would love to know if you can tell me the best picture setting calibration for my Sony bravía KDL-46EX723

Although a good picture is personal, there are DVD discs available to set up your screen for the best, most natural representation, and how to minimize artifacts in the picture (artifact are things seen that shouldn't be there). here a link to one available: http://www.ramelectronics.net/audio-video/a-v-enhancement/calibration-discs/dvdi-0712/prodDVDI0712.html

Generally here's what I've found is close on all sets, to get a pretty close to natural presentation. In the main picture menu you should turn the color setting to around 40%, tint to 50%, sharpness to 25-30% (this minimizes the artifacts on the edges of pictured objects), set the picture/contrast setting to 75% so that the bright areas still have detail, and the brightness so the black areas also have details usually around 50%. Set the back-light setting according to the room lighting and all the advanced settings to the center options.

15 Months later you probably have the answer to this. I just picked one up for a bargain price. I found these settings worked particularly well on my set. I'll post them up in case anyone else stumbles across this thread. I only did the 2D settings. I wasn't interested in 3D at all. If I was I wouldn't have brought this TV.
