Hi,
My wife bought the same from US & she connected it directly to electricity in France so the adapter just went in smoke :( , So you need to get an power adapter with 1000mA & 7.5-8.0 volt off-load , pay attention to polarity! , the wire with white discontinued lines is the + positive & the another wire black is the - nagative , in other words from rear view the right side is + & the left side is -.
hope that helps cuz i put alot of time to figure it out ;)
