How Do I Set 12 Hour Time On My Icf-c218

If your unit has been without power for several hours an error may occur and you will only be able to set your unit to 24 hour time. To reset it to 12 hour time you should first unplug the Sony ICF-C218, then remove the battery. Leave it unpluged for a couple of hours, or until it flashes 12:00 when you plug it in. If it flashes 12:00 you will be able to reset the correct time for 12 hour AM/PM time.
To set the time: Hold down the CLOCK button for more than two seconds. You will hear a beep and the year will flash in the display. Press + or - until the correct year displays. Press CLOCK. Use + or - to set the month, then day. Repeat these actions to set time. Press CLOCK once to finish.
After the time is set replace the battery.
