The Sony Dvp-fx96

Hi there I have some videos and pics from my phone{HTC TILT&HTC INSPIRE}and i burn aDVD that plays in my PC but it does not play in the Sony.Is eny DVD portable player that can play all different formats or what i need for the Sony to play them.Please help.Thank you
