I Own A Sony Dvd/vcr Player/recorder. It Is Now Stuck On Dvd1 From Dvd3 Help

the reason it switch this setting is because it would not recognize dvds new or blank. i need help with both problems, but now i can't use the remote at all. every key show DVD1 and goes no further. there is no button or place on the player to reset. i tried unplugging it and everything else i can think of to fixe this problem. please help.
