My Dvahdx576wf Receiver Does Not Turn On When You Press The Power Button The
display reads, "Push Power Protector".

I called SONY support - and apparently, this is a known issue. I believe the unit is quick to overheat. They gave me all sorts of troubleshooting advice to reset it - nothing worked. I am now looking for a replacement unit - or adapters that allow another DVD player/tuner to feed the rest of the system so I don't have to replace all my speakers as well. . .
