Detachable Face Plate Will Not Light Up And Buttons Don't Work
Just had the Sony Xplod CXS- GT09HP cd player hooked up exactly right and the face will not turn on or light up, nor will any of the buttons work. The power to the unit( everything but the face) is on. It accepts and ejects the cd, but no lights come on( nothing lights up) and there is no display. This question is mainly for installers or those who work in automotive music shops. Any info would be greatly appreciated

I got Sony Cdx-GT340 after 3 years my buttons stopped working, the reset button didn't work, other suggestion was to use cotton swab with little alcohol to clean contact, at first I cleaned but it still wouldn't work, so having nothing to lose, I really saturated swab and freely used it on male connector and quickly shoved it into female connector -- and voila!!! it starts working!!!!!!!
