Please Help Me With My Cd Player Issues...i Have A Sony Cfd-e75

When I place any CD in the disc tray, the screen displays 'no disc'.  I checked out the troubleshooting in the manual; I made sure the CD's I was putting in there were in correctly, I made sure to use non-burnable disc's (CD's purchased from the record store) and then also tried the 'leave the CD players' tray lid open' for over an hour and it still wont play any of my CD's.  Can you please help?
