The Lights On The Buttons Come On But Nothing Works. Wont Eject Cd,

It wont eject the cd and wont change mode to anything else.  I've tried hitting reset and nothing still.  Ive tried to manually take the disc out but the is a metal piece in the way of removing the disc.  Kind of a cd load device.  Any help appreciated.  It worked until a new trim tab sender unit was installed in my boat.
