I Have No Hdmi-output From Sony Bdv-e300? How To Setup / Activate Hdmi Output ?
I tried out various installation configurations for my various HDMI devices. After changing my configurations, it now appears that either my HDMI-output from BDV-E300 is blown, or a software settinghas changed on the BDV-E300. I confirmed with three seperate HDMI-cables that there is no picture / visual display from my DBV-E300 output. How can I manually configure the BDV-E300 to "activate" the HDMI-output, or is the output port blown ?

Hi, according to page 21 of the manual, you need to also connect a video cord along with the HDMI cable to get a picture. An HDMI cable alone won't provide the picture. (See "Method 2" on page 21.)
If you have a video cable connected and still no picture, you can check several of the lights on the front of the display to see if they light up when you connect an HDMI cable from the HDMI-out port to another device. If these lights come on when connected and then go off when disconnected, you know that the port is good. You can find information on which lights come on when the HDMI port is in use on page 14 of the operation manual.
