Slow Sony Ericsson S312

Hi :) bought SE s312 two weeks ago ,first week the phone was fine,but now is complete mess :( ...very very slow when I screw around the menu and texting is a a nightmare ...what can I do about it,can I preinstall the software or update it?? Thank you for your time!!
